Hugh silent on Hurley

London - Hugh Grant fended off questions about former girlfriend Liz Hurley and her newborn son when he arrived at the premiere of his latest film, About a Boy, in London.

Hundreds of people gathered outside the Empire cinema in Leicester Square on Sunday to catch a glimpse of Grant and his co-stars arriving for the world premiere of About a Boy.

Grant, dressed in a black suit with his trademark floppy locks chopped into a short spiky style, went on a short walkabout before the premiere, greeting fans and signing autographs.

But he good-naturedly dodged a barrage of questions about Hurley and her 10-day-old son Damian Charles, saying there was nothing he could say.

About a Boy is an adaptation of Nick Hornby's best-selling novel about an irresponsible and immature Londoner who befriends a troubled schoolboy.

The film's female star, Australian actress Toni Collette, also attended the premiere, as did 12-year-old actor Nicholas Hoult, who plays the boy of the title.

Hurley, who has remained close to Grant despite the end of their 13-year romance in 2000, was not there.
