No Spice Girls revival

London - All five of the Spice Girls have come face-to-face for the first time in nearly five years, but talk of a reunion is being dismissed as "madness".
They gathered at "Posh Spice" Victoria Beckham's countryside mansion north of London on Monday night. But claims that they were meeting to discuss a greatest hits album or a reunion tour were swiftly put to rest.
"They did meet, but it was a social occasion, not about getting the band back together," a spokesperson for Beckham said. "That is nonsense. They are all working on different solo projects."
Beckham, "Ginger Spice" Geri Halliwell, "Scary Spice" Melanie Brown, "Sporty Spice" Melanie Chisholm and "Baby Spice" Emma Bunton had nine number-one hits in Britain together in the 1990s.
A spokesperson for Chisholm, alias Mel C, told the Sun newspaper: "The band is not getting back together with her in it."
The meeting at "Beckingham Palace" in Sawbridgeworth - was thought to be the first time they had all met up since Halliwell walked out of the girl group in 1998. - Sapa-AFP
