McCartney 'a musician forever'

Hamburg - Former Beatle Paul McCartney, saying "I'll stay a musician forever", said in an interview on Sunday he has no plans for retirement and will keep on going as long as his fans still come out to see him.
In an interview with the Sunday tabloid paper Bild am Sonntag, the 60-year-old Sir Paul said he feels fitter than ten years ago now at the start of his 19-city "Back in the World" tour.
"It is strange. I am now at the age in which you can officially go into retirement. But sorry - I don't feel like it. Retirement is something I'm not thinking about just yet," he told Bild.
He said that time might come if his fans no longer want to see him - but then again, maybe not.
"I will just keep on doing (music) as a hobby. I'll go into the pubs and play and sing. And if they throw me out, I'll play outside at the door," McCartney said. "I'll stay a musician forever."
With his new tour coming on the heels of an 18-week, 37-city tour in the United States, Sir Paul said he tries to stay fit with an occasional session in a fitness studio or practicing yoga, but that he is not a fanatic about it.
He credits his new wife Heather, whom he married in 2002, four years after the death of his first wife Linda, for his current fit state.
"Such a love is a wonderful thing - it keeps you young," he told Bild am Sonntag. - Sapa-DPA
