Los Angeles - Two Grammy Awards won by the Beatles and by singer Paul McCartney are expected to rake in at least $90 00 when they go on the auction block this week, organisers said on Wednesday.

The Grammys won by the "Fab Four" and their former singer are among 300 pop culture items that will go under the hammer on Saturday in Monterey, California.

They include a Golden Globe Award won by the 1959 epic film Ben Hur and a pair of sunglasses worn by another former Beatle, John Lennon.

The Grammy won by the Beatles for their recording of A Hard Day's Night is expected to sell for at least $60 000, while the other, awarded to McCartney and his band Wings for their 1970s hit Band on the Run, should fetch $30 000, organisers Julien Entertainment said.

The Golden Globe should rake in between $7 000 and $9 000, while Lennon's glasses dating from 1968 are expected to bring in between 800 and $1 200.

A shirt worn by Hollywood screen heartthrob Tom Cruise in the 1992 film A Few Good Men will also go on the block, as will a costume used by Mike Myers in 1999's Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me.
