Shrek lures Sex star

Los Angeles - Sex and the City star Sarah Jessica Parker has landed a new movie role - as a voice in the animated film Shrek 3.
The 39-year-old actress will join Mike Myers, Cameron Diaz, Eddie Murphy, and Antonio Banderas in the third instalment of the Shrek films, according to The Sun.
Parker said she is looking forward to moving on from Sex and the City and featuring in the smash-hit movie, due for release in 2007.
The hit TV comedy Sex and the City wrapped up its sixth and final season in 2004.
Parker said: "I am delighted to be doing a role that my children and friends' children will be able to see."
Shrek 2 was a major box office hit and has recently won five awards at the People's Choice Awards.
The film picked up gongs for Favourite Movie Drama, Favourite Movie Comedy, Favourite Animated Movie, Favourite Sequel, Favourite Animated Movie Star and Favourite Villain Movie Star. - Ananova.com
