London - It may be what Spice Girls fans want want they really really want but it looks like they just might be disappointed.
Plans to reunite Baby, Ginger, Posh, Scary and Sporty on the Live Aid II stage have been well and truly scuppered.
According to reports, the girls won't be seen at the massive charity gig on July 2 because organisers don't think their disposable chart pop sits well with the rock monster line-up.
"The Spice Girls offered their services but they don't fit the bill," a BBC source told the Daily Mirror. "With all respect to them, Live Aid II isn't Party In The Park."
"It's a political rally to put pressure on world leaders and their kind of pop act didn't seem right.
"And with so many great international rock stars and bands wanting to do their bit, there just won't be time for the Spice Girls."
However, Victoria Beckham's spokesperson denies their music is the cause of the snub, and adds the decision to keep them out the line-up isn't final.
"We said last week a number of conversations had taken place and are continuing to take place about the Spice Girls and whether they are going to perform or not," he claimed. - Ananova.com
