Aniston to hand out an Oscar

Los Angeles - Hollywood darling Jennifer Aniston will take part in the Oscars ceremony for the first time this year, presenting one of the golden statuettes to a winner, organisers said on Wednesday.
The 35-year-old star of the hit US television show Friends and the ex-wife of screen heart-throb Brad Pitt has frequently been a guest at Hollywood's biggest night but has never appeared on the famed stage.
Aniston's nearly five year marriage to Fight Club star Pitt - once celebrated as one of Hollywood's true love stories - collapsed amid a blaze of publicity a year ago.
A few months after that, Pitt was photographed in a number of private moments with actress Angelina Jolie, who is now carrying his unborn child amid rumours of impending nuptials.
The now single Aniston has starred in big screen movies including last year's Rumour Has It . . . " with Kevin Costner and will be seen next in Friends with Money, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival last week.
Her other film credits include Derailed, Along Came Polly, Bruce Almighty and The Good Girl, with Jake Gyllenhaal.
Aniston joins a growing list of celebrity presenters of Academy Awards at the glittering March 5 show that will be held at Hollywood's Kodak Theatre.
Also already confirmed as presenters are 2005 best actress and best actor Academy Award winners Hilary Swank and Jamie Foxx, and last year's winner of the best supporting actor Oscar, Morgan Freeman.
Also handing out the honours will be actor brothers Owen and Luke Wilson as well as starlet Jessica Alba, 24.
Nominations for the 78th annual Academy Awards will be announced in Beverly Hills on January 31.
