Los Angeles - Michelle Williams, the US actress who shot to fame with her Oscar nomination this year for her role in Brokeback Mountain, is to star in a new Woody Allen movie set in Paris.
Industry publication The Hollywood Reporter said on Wednesday the 25-year-old, who played the cuckolded wife of her real-life partner Heath Ledger in Ang Lee's gay cowboy love story, had already signed on for the new film.
But, in typical Woody Allen style, the movie's plot is being kept under tight wraps, although the Reporter said it would most likely focus on young Americans in the City of Light.
Production on the new movie is slated to begin in the middle of this year, the industry magazine said.
Williams was nominated for a best supporting actress Oscar for her role as the tragic Alma Del Mar in the movie that won three Oscars on March 5, but lost out on the acting nominations for Williams, Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal.
Allen, 70, who has made 38 films since 1966, had a success last year with the British-set comedy of manners Match Point starring Scarlett Johansson.
