Los Angeles - Sex and the City actress Sarah Jessica Parker will star in a Hollywood thriller after appearing in another film with her husband, actor Matthew Broderick, Hollywood industry press reported on Wednesday.

In the thriller Vacancy, Parker will play the wife in a couple who check into a motel where they are being filmed by hidden cameras.

According to Variety, production will start later this year.

Parker, an Emmy and Golden Globe winner for her role as sex columnist Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City, will appear in the film Strangers with Candy with Broderick and Oscar-winner Philip Seymour Hoffman.

She recently starred alongside Matthew McConaughey in the romantic comedy Failure to Launch.
