Timberlake tops album charts

London - US singer Justin Timberlake's
second debut album went straight to the top of the UK charts on
Sunday, matching the recent success of his latest single.
Timberlake, 25, who made his name with former boy band 'N
Sync, saw his album Futuresex/Lovesounds hold off a number of new entries at the head of this week's chart, according to the Official UK Charts Company.
Scottish band The Fratellis were in second place with
Costello Music ahead of The Truth About Love by R&B singer Lemar, a finalist on the BBC talent show Fame Academy.
Last week's number one Eyes Open by Northern Irish band
Snow Patrol dropped to fourth with Empire by Indie rockers
Kasabian in fifth.
In the singles chart, US band Scissor Sisters held onto
the number one spot with I Don't Feel Like Dancin'.
Timberlake's Sexyback, which two weeks ago gave him his
first solo UK number one, remained in second place with London
Bridge, the first solo outing by Fergie from the US band
Black Eyed Peas in third.
Nelly Furtado and rapper Timbaland dropped a place to fourth
with Promiscuous while When You Were Young, a new entry by rock band the Killers, was in fifth.
Robbie Williams' latest offering Rudebox fell to sixth,
with Shakira's Hips Don't Lie seventh, and Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol in eighth.
Never Be Lonely from Feeling was at nine with Jamelia's
Something About You in tenth.
