Justin to host MTV Awards

Copenhagen - The Red Hot Chili Peppers were nominated in four categories for the MTV Europe Music Awards to be hosted by Justin Timberlake in the Danish capital on November 2, the music network said on Tuesday.
Madonna, Shakira, Nelly Furtado, Christina Aguilera, Kanye West and Muse had three nominations each.
Timberlake will host the annual show, assisted by Nelly Furtado and Muse, at a convention center and Copenhagen's City Hall Square, MTV Europe boss Simon Guild told a news conference.
"We will bring the biggest global superstars to town," said Guild.
MTV Europe opted to split the show between two venues as "an opportunity to bring more people to it," said Guild.
The Bella Center convention hall on the city outskirts would have 3 000 people while at least 10 000 were expected at the outdoor venue on Copenhagen's main square.
The show will be broadcast to 17 countries with a potential 1.4bn viewers, said Guild.
MTV's European awards are held in a different city every year. The award winners are selected by fans across Europe.
An estimated 1 billion people watched the 2005 MTV Music Award held in Lisbon, the Portuguese capital.
