Annie Lennox Sings it for Aids

Mexico City - Annie Lennox says complacency threatens to slow the fight against Aids, and is urging artists, musicians, filmmakers and women to keep the issue at the forefront.
The Grammy- and Oscar-winning singer-songwriter is taking part in the international Aids conference in Mexico City this week as an ambassador for Oxfam.
While UNAids recently reported that global cases of Aids had stabilised after peaking in the late 1990s, Lennox said it still was an issue of utmost importance.
"This dialogue must not go off the table," she said on Saturday, adding that 1 000 South Africans died of Aids daily and millions remained without access to health care.
Lennox has launched a campaign called Sing, which includes a song she recorded with 23 female singers to raise money for Aids. She also is campaigning on behalf of South African women and children infected with HIV.
