London - Pop Idol Will Young is turning agony uncle by giving advice on Radio One.
The chart star will lend an ear to callers later this month as a guest presenter for the station's Sunday Surgery advice show.
The singer - who won the TV talent show exactly a year ago today - will join regular hosts Emma B and Dr Mark Hamilton for the show on February 23.
The programme is part of a season of looking at issues surrounding domestic violence.
Will, who has taken the charts by storm in the past year with hits such as Evergreen and Light My Fire, did his university thesis on domestic violence.
A spokesperson for Radio One said: "Will feels passionately about this important issue and is keen to lend a hand to help raise awareness."
"Emma, Mark and Will are taking calls and giving advice to anyone who has been a victim of violence or is worried about a friend who is in this situation."
