Cape Town - The decade-long partner of former sport minister Dr Piet Koornhof, 79, has given birth to the second child by her German lover.
The girl, who has been named Christina, was born on September 15, said Marcelle Adams, 35.
She already has another daughter, Anna, two, with Fritz Cherdron, 55, a well-known businessman and aerobatic pilot from Bad Endorf in Bavaria.
Cherdron was in South Africa for the birth and took Adams to hospital, but was not present when a Caesarean section was performed to deliver the baby.
Adams laughed: "He did not have the guts!"
She said on Thursday: "He is very excited, but says he can father only girls."
Cherdron also has a daughter of 24 in Germany.
Koornhof was also excited.
Adams said: "He loves children."
Three children have Koornhof surname
She has three other children: Maria, 11, and twin boys, Daniel and Samuel, seven.
Maria was born from an earlier relationship.
According to Adams, Koornhof, a former ambassador and cabinet minister of the National Party government, was the father of the twins.
Maria and the twins carry Koornhof's surname and Anna and Christina that of Cherdron.
Christina will not be baptised immediately because Adams and Koornhof have joined the Jehovah's Witnesses.
Adams said the church believed a person had to make the decision individually once he or she was older.
"I am now learning everything about the Bible and the Jehovah's Witnesses. Piet and I do Bible study together.
"They are providing me with explanations and answers to many questions that have bothered me in the past."
Adams also said Cherdron had asked Koornhof earlier this year whether he would consider moving to Germany with Adams and her children.
This was after Koornhof had thwarted Adams's plans to move to Germany by refusing to allow his children to leave the country.
'Fritz has a compassionate heart'
If Koornhof agreed, they would be able to look after him and Cherdron's disabled wife, who had brain damage a few years ago, said Adams.
"Fritz has a compassionate heart. That is one of his problems.
"And he realises the difficulties when children become involved."
She said she was very fond of Koornhof.
"I love him, but not in the same way that I love Fritz."
