Cape Town - While Dr Piet Koornhof is patiently waiting for his partner to return home, she is happily living with her German lover in Europe.
Marcelle Adams left Koornhof at the end of January to join businessman Fritz Cherdron in Bad Endorf, Bavaria. She promised to be back in April.
Koornhof said on Sunday: "I expect her back any moment."
But it seems Adams is not so keen on returning to Cape Town.
On Sunday she didn't want to describe the nature of her relationship with Koornhof, but said they have "an understanding".
"We are not hard on each other. We often talk over the phone."
She didn't want to say when she planned to return to Cape Town and Koornhof, or whether it would be permanent or only for a visit.
"I don't want to talk about it or give you a specific date. I can't say when I will be returning to South Africa."
She said her children, Maria, twins Samuel and Daniel, Anna, and Christina, were adapting well.
Adams, Cherdron and the children recently had a holiday in Hungary.
She laughed about pregnancy rumours.
"Not yet," she said.
Koornhof insisted that she was returning "any moment".
"There is no story here. She will come back to stay here. We talk every day. I spoke to her on Saturday night. She called me this morning. There are no problems," he said.
