Traffic makes prince late

London - Britain's Prince William turned up an hour late for his job at a leading bank as he was forced to share the frustration of sitting in a daily London traffic jam, according to reports on Tuesday.
The 23-year-old prince emerged "hot and bothered" from his black VW Golf after spending two hours behind the wheel to cover a distance of 12km, the Daily Mirror reported.
The older son of Prince Charles started a work experience programme with the investment division of HSBC bank, in Canary Wharf, east London, on Monday.
Dressed in a striped navy suit and red tie William, who has made clear that he does not wish be addressed as "Sir" or "be introduced to everyone", soon kept his head down in the 18th floor offices of the HSBC skyscraper.
"No-one has dared to ask him to make the tea yet", the Sun quoted an insider as saying.
The Mirror suggested that the Prince might have been on time if he had used a bike, a helicopter, the tube or even the riverboat to get to his place of work.
