London - South African born actress Charlize Theron is reportedly being lined up as a Bond girl in the new 007 movie.

She has been offered a deal to star alongside Daniel Craig in a remake of Casino Royale, reports the Mirror.

The South African-born star is said to be British director Martin Campbell's first choice.

Charlize would be following in the footsteps of the likes of Halle Berry, Teri Hatcher, Britt Ekland and Ursula Andress.

She won a Best Actress Academy award for her stunning portrayal of real-life US serial killer Aileen Wuornos in the 2003 movie Monster.

The Mirror's source said: "She is glamorous but she is also a brilliant actress. It would be quite a coup to have an Oscar-winner as the female lead." - Ananova.com
