Sofia Coppola expecting

Los Angeles - US filmmaker Sofia Coppola is pregnant and the child's father is her boyfriend, French rock singer Thomas Mars, People magazine reported on Wednesday on its website.
The weekly US celebrity magazine, which did not cite a source, said the couple were expecting their baby this winter.
Coppola, 35, snared an Oscar for best screenplay for the 2004 Lost in Translation, which she also directed. She is the daughter of Francis Ford Coppola, the Oscar-winning director of Apocalypse Now and the Godfather films.
Her latest film, Marie Antoinette, premiered this month at the Cannes Film Festival, where it met with mixed reviews. Its US opening is set in October.
Mars is the lead singer of the French pop-rock group Phoenix. He sings in English and appeared in Marie Antoinette.
Coppola married director Spike Jonze of Being John Malkovich fame in 1999. They divorced in 2003.
