Willis gets star treatment

Los Angeles - Action hero Bruce Willis was immortalised on Hollywood's Walk of Fame on Monday, fulfilling a lifelong ambition to see his name added to the stretch of pavement that is quite literally star-studded.
At a ceremony attended by celebrity friends and family including ex-wife Demi Moore and her new husband Ashton Kutcher, Kevin Costner, Ben Affleck, Sylvester Stallone, Willis said he had always craved the 'star treatment'.
"I used to come down here and look at these stars and I could never quite figure out what you're supposed to do to get one," said Willis after seeing his star become the 2 321st to be set into the sidewalk.
"And time has passed and now here I am doing this, and I'm still excited about it. I'm still excited to be an actor," Willis added.
Willis and Moore's three daughters, Scout, Rumer and Tallulah along with Willis's mother also attended - with mom planting a smacker on her son's bald head after he received the star.
Born on March 19, 1955, on an American military base in Idar-Oberstein, Germany, Willis grew up in New Jersey. After graduating high school, Willis worked in a factory with his father before a spell as a bodyguard.
He broke into acting after enrolling in a drama programme before first finding fame in the hit 1980s television show Moonlighting.
Willis is most famous for his portrayal of Detective John McClane in the Die Hard movie trilogy. Another sequel, Live Free or Die Hard, is due out on June 29. He also won critical praise for his performances in Pulp Fiction, The Sixth Sense and Twelve Monkeys.
