London - British actress and model Liz Hurley and Indian businessman Arun Nayar are to mark their forthcoming wedding in March with ceremonies in Britain and India where pink saris and turbans will dominate the dress code, a report said on Wednesday.
London's Evening Standard newspaper said the 41-year-old former long-term girlfriend of British actor Hugh Grant (Notting Hill) planned celebrations in Gloucestershire, England, and Rajasthan in India on March 3 and March 9 respectively.
To ensure that all guests will be appropriately dressed for the Indian celebrations, the couple would open their own "wedding shop" in the Hilton Towers Hotel in Mumbai (Bombay), the paper said.
Friends including footballer David Beckham and his wife, Victoria, and pop singer Elton John will be among the guests to be kitted out in traditional dress, the report said.
There is speculation about whether Grant, Hurley's boyfriend for 13 years, and his new girlfriend Jemima Khan will attend.
Shop in Mumbai to supply guests with outfits
Hurley has a four-year-old boy, Damian, from a previous relationship with Hollywood producer Steve Bing.
The shop in Mumbai is to stock saris, turbans, kurtas (long tunics for men) and bindis (jewellery worn on the forehead by Hindu women), the Standard reported.
Hindu brides traditionally wear pink or red saris.
Hurley and Nayar have issued friends with an "orientation pack," explaining exactly what they should wear to look "glamourous and fabulous."
"Please don't panic... all Indian clothes can be bought when you arrive in India, where they will be much nicer," they wrote.
According to the Standard, the couple are believed to be marrying first at Sudeley Castle in Gloucestershire, south-west Britain, on March 3, and in a palace in India a week later.
