Healthy twins for Marcia Cross

Los Angeles - Marcia Cross, one of the stars of the hit US television series Desperate Housewives, has taken on a major new role as the mother of twins, her publicist said on Wednesday.
Heidi Slan confirmed the news, originally reported on People magazine's website, with a simple "yes" to AFP.
"Mother and babies are all doing well," Slan told People.com of Cross and her twin daughters, Eden and Savannah, who were born at a Los Angeles hospital on Tuesday.
The twins are the first children for the 44-year-old actress and her husband, stockbroker Tom Mahoney, 49, who wed in June 2006.
Cross had been on bed rest since January, according to People.
The red-haired actress rose to television stardom in the 1990s on the popular series Melrose Place, before taking on the role of high-strung homemaker Bree Van De Kamp in Desperate Housewives.
