Lindsay to show her ugly side

  • Los Angeles - Lindsay Lohan will make a guest appearance on the season finale of the ABC television comedy Ugly Betty.

The 21-year-old actress is set to play an old schoolmate of America Ferrera's character Betty Suarez on the show's May 22 season closer, according to the trade paper Variety.

Both Variety and Usmagazine.com said Lohan began shooting her scenes during the weekend. Lohan also is expected to appear in five episodes of Ugly Betty next season.

Her publicist did not immediately return a call seeking comment on Sunday.

Lohan's guest role follows Britney Spears's appearance in a March episode of the CBS TV comedy How I Met Your Mother.

That guest role won the pop singer good reviews after a spate of bad publicity while at the same time boosting the TV show's viewership.

Spears will reprise her role as bubbly secretary Abby in the May 12 episode of the comedy series starring Neil Patrick Harris.
