London - Simon Cowell says he's "off women".

The music mogul has vowed to stay away from the opposite sex after splitting with girlfriend Terri Seymour after six years together.

"Don't worry about me. I don't need a lonely hearts advert. I'm off women now," Simon told Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper .

"But everything's fine between me and Terri - we're still friends. In fact I just spoke to her on the phone now."

The 49-year-old star is being comforted following the break-up by his previous girlfriend Sinitta, though pals insist they are just good friends.

Parting gift

Simon - who is a judge on TV talent shows American Idol - added: "I've always been very close to all my ex-girlfriends. We've never fallen out - they're like my best friends."

Simon - who is worth an estimated $200m - parted ways from 34-year-old Terri several weeks ago, but the news was only confirmed last weekend.

He is believed to have given her a parting gift of $5m in cash, and another $4.6m to buy a house in Beverly Hills, California. - Bang Showbiz.com
