Mel B renews vows

Cairo - Mel B and her husband Stephen Belafonte renewed their wedding vows on Saturday.

The couple flew their closest family and friends to Hurghada, Egypt, to make up for them missing their secret ceremony in Las Vegas last year.

Mel and Stephen reaffirmed their commitment to each other at the exclusive Jaz Makadi Golf Hotel in Madinat Makadi, in front of guests including Girls Aloud star Sarah Harding, and TV presenters Denise van Outen and Fearne Cotton.

The former Spice Girls star - who has a luxury home in Egypt - will also host a lavish wedding blessing party on Sunday, treating guests to a picturesque Red Sea cruise.

Mel and Stephen were seen soaking up the sun shortly before their renewal ceremony on Saturday.

The loved-up pair sipped champagne and kissed as Mel showed off her fantastic figure in a skimpy white bikini.

Didn't invite the Spice Girls

Mel, 33, has admitted her Spice Girl bandmates - Victoria Beckham, Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton and pregnant Melanie C - weren't invited to the ceremony because she wanted it to be a low-key event.

She said: "We decided to do it for the kids and we only want it to be a real intimate affair with the 10 closest people in our lives."

Meanwhile, 33-year-old Stephen's ex-fiancée Nicole Contreras has warned Mel the film producer flew into drunken, jealous rages during their six-year relationship.

Mel a 'golden ticket'

Nicole said: "I fear for Mel because a leopard does not change his spots.

"He seems utterly charming - but I'm afraid it won't be long before his masks slips again and she sees what a monster he really can be.

"I have never known anyone so jealous."

Nicole also alleges Stephen was still having sex with her when he began dating Mel and is only interested in the star's money.

She added to Britain's News of the World newspaper: "We would sleep together from time to time - but one night he said, 'I've met someone who is very famous and very rich and wants to marry me, but if you will have me back then I'll forget it'.

"Mel was the golden ticket he had always dreamed of."

During their relationship, Nicole claims Stephen would drink up to 20 bottles of beer a night.

In 2003, Stephen was charged with battery after attacking Nicole during an alcohol-fuelled row.
