Cape Town - The Pink Loerie Carnival will be taking place in Knysna in May.

The line-up includes comedy, drama, Afrikaans theatre/cabaret, cabaret, live music, dance, drag shows, a national drag competition and parties every night at a different venue.

There will be the Pink party, The Muscle-Mussel/Oyster party and the fabulous Outrageous Concert and party. In addition, this year, the Fine Living Expo with interior designers/decorators, wine-tastings and displays, fine food expo, antiques show and twice daily, two of the most prominent chefs in town will have a fun cooking demonstration with live entertainment to amuse the crowds.

The highlight of the Carnival this year will be the float parade. Priscilla, Queen of the Garden Route buses are also planned. The buses will have deejays, drag queens and guests as well as video cameras.

There will also be skydivers, circus acts, buskers, mime artists, street performers and once again a celebration of art by some of the best artists in SA - a collaboration between the illustrious art fundi, Trent Read of Knysna Fine Arts and the Virtual Art Gallery in Cape Town.

The Pink Loerie Carnival will be held from May 22 to 26.
