Cape Town - 5fm breakfast DJ Mark Gillman has renewed his contract with the station for another 24 months.
The multi-million rand contract engages Gillman and his team to 5fm exclusively for another two years. The show, weekdays from 06:00 - 09:00, features Mark Gillman, Reuben Goldberg, The Prophet, Catherine the fixer and Kevin Fine.
"Now The Mark Gillman Show has a vault load of cash with a new contract that will see South Africa 'Wakin up dancin' through 2005! Big guests, big laughs, big tunes, big international broadcasts," Gillman said.
Acting Station Manager John Langford added: "The breakfast show is the anchor of any radio station and The Mark Gillman Show is a funny, loud, irreverent, wicked way for South Africa to start the day - we love him in the morning."
Gillman has put his 12 year radio career down to a simple philosophy that no DJ can deny: "We play the tunes to get the girls on the dance floor."
