SA film on Sarah Baartman's life

Johannesburg - Award-winning South African director Zola Maseko is to team up with producer Shan Moodley to produce a feature film on the life of Sarah Baartman, SABC radio news reported on Monday.
The remains of the Khoi woman, who was taken to Europe and exhibited as a freak in the 19th century, were returned to South Africa last year.
Maseko was responsible for the documentaries The Life and Times of Sarah Baartman in 1998 and The return of Sarah Baartman.
Maseko said directing the feature would be the culmination of a 10-year dream. The project is still in the early stages of development, with Moodley looking to raise finance in Europe and South Africa.
