Cape Town - As a glittering celebrity couple they have conquered the sporting and entertainment worlds, but now they are ready to cross swords with each other.
South Africa's Posh and Becks couple, Joost van der Westhuizen and Amor Vittone, will soon take each other on in their own television programme on kykNET.
The first of 13 episodes of In die kryt (In the ring) will be broadcast next Thursday at 21:00 and viewers will see Joost and Amore trying to outdo each other in various gender battles.
In this hybrid talk-and-games programme, the stereotypical approaches men and women have to life will come under the spotlight.
Joost and Amor, who each lead a team of contestants in three rounds, will be doing things that traditionally come naturally to the opposite sex.
Viewers will be treated to the sight of Joost trying to apply mascara without smudging and Amor changing a car tire.
"The programme is our own concept which we started working on during our honeymoon," Joost said on Thursday.
"It's about communication and relationships. Each programme has a theme in which everyday relationships are placed."
Another new kykNET programme, Klein maar getrein with host Francois Toerien, starts on Friday, October 3 at 19:30.
Toerien, who describes the programme as something between Smalltalk and Kids Say the Darndest Things, will be asking children insightful and silly questions that they must answer in their own special way.
The Springbok rugby team's farewell dinner before the World Cup Tournament will be broadcast live from the Sandton Convention Centre on SuperSport (SS1) on Thursday night at 19:00.
