Johannesburg - Things are going well for two former 5fm DJs who have joined 94.7 Highveld Stereo.
Popular DJ and Big Brother presenter Mark Pilgrim says he's enjoying every moment at Highveld.
Pilgrim and veteran DJ Alex Jay were dismissed from 5fm after years of service. Jay apparently didn't fit the station's younger image, while Pilgrim was said to have ignored contractual obligations.
Pilgrim was appointed on a freelance basis to Highveld Stereo in December last year and broadcasts in various time slots.
He says many of his fans are now also listening to Highveld Stereo. "I've received a lot of correspondence from people who say they are pleased that I've joined Highveld Stereo."
Jay started working as a freelancer at the station in July last year and earlier this month was appointed to host Bob Mabena's drive-time afternoon slot. Jay, who signed a three-year contract for the slot, has in the meantime moved from Cape Town to Johannesburg with his family.
Ravi Naidoo, Highveld Stereo station manager, says he's very happy with the two broadcasters.
