Cape Town - Popular local drama series, Jozi Streets, is taking an eight-week production break between June 7 and August 9.
The show is broadcast on e.tv at 20:00 on Monday nights and will resume in its usual time slot when it returns. It will be replaced by the family drama Citizen Baines.
Since Jozi Streets was first screened in March this year, its viewership has increased steadily within three months
from 700 000 to nearly one million.
When the drama returns on August 9 viewers will be treated to a
fresh season of gritty storylines.
Each episode is based on an actual case and features Boki Basson (Bill Flynn) and Linda Paulsen (Faye Peters), a cop partnership well equipped to deal with the serious crimes poisoning South Africa's richest, most vibrant city.
