Tokyo's Apprentice ad axed

Johannesburg - Tokyo Sexwale must be able to prove that his company is "one of South Africa's most successful and profitable companies" - or withdraw the advert in which he makes this claim.
This was the decision of the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) after David Bennet complained about Sexwale's ad for the reality programme The Apprentice.
Bennet said Sexwale's statements about the profitability of his company, Mvelaphanda Holdings were not true.
ASA requires that all statements made in any advertisement must be verifiable by an independent expert.
Because no such verification was presented to ASA, it ordered that the advertisement should be withdrawn.
