Johannesburg - Egoli star Corine du Toit was discharged from hospital on Wednesday after treatment for injuries from an accident last weekend.
Du Toit, who plays the role of Jane Edwards in the soap, was rushed to the Union Hospital in Alberton after she fell off a bakkie on a farm near Villiers in the Free State on Saturday.
She was admitted to the intensive care ward with facial fractures, and had two emergency operations.
Egoli spokesperson Gizela Arndt confirmed on Wednesday that the actress had been discharged, but said she may have to undergo more operations in the future.
''I've spoken to her already. She's better and we hope she gets well soon,'' she said.
Du Toit is thought to be convalescing at her house in Paulshof, Johannesburg.
She was still heavily sedated, and said to be in terrible pain.
Egoli producers said they would reschedule Du Toit's days on set, but if she were absent for a long time, scriptwriters would be asked to change the current storyline.
