Johannesburg - A South African film, Bunny Chow, has made official selection for the Toronto International Film Festival, the National Film and Video Foundation announced on Wednesday.
The film will have its world premiere at the festival which runs from September 7-16 this year.
Bunny Chow's director John Barker will be one of several new directors whose work will be shown as part of the Vanguard programme at the festival.
The programme showcases films that are stylistically bold, structurally playful and appeal to adventurous, risk-taking audiences.
Bunny Chow follows the raucous and often ridiculous journey of three stand-up comedians.
The film will be released in South Africa by Ster-Kinekor Pictures in early 2007.
