Forest Whitaker visiting SA

Johannesburg - Academy award-winning actor Forest Whitaker landed at Johannesburg's OR Tambo airport on Thursday evening, a spokesperson said.
Cynthia Walley said the actor, who was flanked by his wife Keisha and daughters Autumn, Sonnet and True, was in the country for a two week "goodwill tour."
"South Africa as a country is a place that we as a family have been looking forward to visiting for quite some time," Whitaker said on his arrival.
His trip also coincides with Freedom Day, a day that commemorates South Africa's first democratic elections in 1994.
"We are especially pleased that out visit coincides with Freedom Day," he added.
Whitaker's itinerary includes stays in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban, a visit to the campus of the University of Johannesburg, some of the country's famed wine estates in the Cape and a luxury safari.
Whitaker, won this year's Best Actor Oscar for his portrayal of former Ugandan dictator Idi Amin in the movie The Last King of Scotland.
