7de Laan actor improving

Pretoria - Actor Erik Holm who has been paralysed since breaking his neck is "regaining a bit more strength in his arms every day, and on Tuesday he sat up in bed with the help of his nurses".
Peter Butler, Holm's friend and fellow cast member in the play Fiela se kind, said on Wednesday things were going well with Holm.
"Things are improving day-by-day. He's in high spirits and if things are going well with his spirit then his flesh will follow," Butler said.
He's in contact daily with Erik's family in Pretoria.
"There hasn't been much improvement yet in his lower limbs, but we think he just needs a bit of time before there will also be positive results there."
'Fantastic medical team'
Erik's father, renowned entomologist and author Professor Erik Holm, has said in a statement that his son has a fantastic medical team assisting him.
"We have also been overwhelmed by people's best wishes and empathy."
Holm, who portrayed Walter in the soapie 7de Laan broke his neck when he dived into a man-made lake at Secunda waterfront last Friday.
