Johannesburg - Jake White and his Bok squad have caught the attention of the nation with their World Cup victory over the Roses in France.
"It's so good for our country, there's a wonderful feeling of solidarity," said Riaan Venter, winner of the first season of SABC2's Strictly Come Dancing.
He made it back from Los Angeles just in time to see the rugby.
"It was a "moerse" game, a real final. I feel unbelievably good about it."
"The solidarity amongst our people shows how strongly we can unite."
Spirit of goodwill
The actor Neil Sandilands said South Africans should enjoy the moment and see the victory in a spirit of goodwill.
"This win is a fantastic example of what is possible when people band together."
Sandilands said the victory and President Thabo Mbeki's presence at the final was very symbolic, to him.
"It's the ideal opportunity to bring together Western sentiments, insights and history, with Africa sentiments, insights and history."
Kass Naidoo, cricket commentator said she thinks the whole country was relieved.
"Jake, John and the whole team put in hard work and dedication, to do us proud," she said.
'Wonderful moment'
The Afrikaans singer Dozi had to make do with half a band when he appeared at the Hillfox Market Square in Roodepoort on Sunday.
"It's wonderful moments like this that get the guys down and dirty. The band is probably still lying around somewhere with half the fans."
The straightforward television presenter and actor Rian van Heerden was less diplomatic about the prospect of a new Springbok team and coach.
"It's a nice fat raspberry to everyone who said they should get rid of Jake White," Van Heerden said.
