Cape Town - The final leg of the race to get the world's best loved cities on the new Monopoly Here & Now: The World Edition game board has begun.

It's Wildcard time and Johannesburg needs your vote!

Joburg is currently in the 7th position on the Wildcard cities leaderboard, with the cities of Quebec and Taipei in the top two spots.

Only the top two Wildcard cities will make it onto the new Monopoly game board, so voting for Joburg is crucial.

The other spots on the game board have been reserved for the Top 20 pre-selected world cities that received the most votes. Voting has already closed for these cities.

Although the names of the Top 20 winning cities are still a mystery, hopes are high for Cape Town.

A strong voting campaign had pushed the Mother City up to the 3rd position on the leaderboard a week before the closing date, however the cities' progress during the final week has been kept hidden from the public.

Could South Africa be so lucky to have both Cape Town and Johannesburg on the world's favourite game board?

Click here to vote for Johannesburg.

Voting closes on Sunday 9 March and you can vote only once every day.
