Johannesburg - To ensure that viewers would not miss prime-time programmes because of load shedding and power failures, M-Net decided that it would rebroadcast these programmes at weekends on M-Net Extra (DStv channel 103).
From March 22, DStv subscribers would be able to tune into this channel from 14:00.
Jan du Plessis, M-Net's channel director said on Tuesday: "We've been keeping a close eye on the effect of the power cuts on our viewing patterns.
"After receiving many requests from viewers to review our repeat schedule, the decision was made on Monday to commence with M-Net Extra with immediate effect."
All foreign and local series that were broadcast after 19:00 would be repeated on M-Net Extra.
They include, Grey's Anatomy, Prison Break, Ella Blue, The Coconuts, Private Practice and Desperate Housewives.
The Sunday-night game show, Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader? also would be repeated on this channel.
