Washington - With hundreds of onlookers in Central Park, a nearly naked homosexual couple climbed high into a New York tree and performed sexual acts to protest against parental objections to their relationship.
Only after five hours did the two - a 32-year-old man and his 17-year-old partner - allow themselves to be secured by police and helped back down to solid ground, New York media reported on Friday.
The couple said they wanted to convince the mother of the teenager to drop her resistance to his homosexual relationship.
As police tried to climb up the tree, the sex performers kept climbing further up. According to the New York Times, the couple performed "high altitude oral sex".
In one of the media reports, a police officer was quoted as worrying about whether the tree branches would withstand the dynamic performance. - Sapa-dpa
