Wanted: SA story for Charlize

Johannesburg - Charlize Theron would like to make a movie based on a South African story and has already been in contact with South African writers, she said in an interview with the SABC on Monday.
"If I find the right story, I will do it," she said.
Theron said she was overwhelmed by all the attention at the airport when she arrived in the country over the weekend.
The star has travelled extensively over the past 10 years.
"But I miss the food, I miss the people, I miss the country... There is nothing that compares to South Africa.
"There is just something when you land here, when you put your feet on the soil and you breathe the air and you see the sky."
When asked about her role in Monster, Theron gave an answer that made one think about her own life, with reports on how her mother shot and killed her father in self-defence again making the headlines.
"She went through so many things in her life," Theron said about Aileen Wuornos, her character in the film.
"To me, her life is unique in the sense from where she came and where she was heading - so complicated and so sad."
Asked whether her fame could pave the way to Hollywood success for other South Africans, she said she would be honoured if this was the case.
The recipe, she said, is hard work. "If you have the heart and the will to do it, it is the most important thing."
On advice for potential Oscar winners she said: "There isn't a formula for anything in life."
One has to be resilient and grow a thicker skin, Theron advised.
"You have to believe in yourself."
