Hollywood - Hollywood tough guy Clint Eastwood on Sunday won the second best director Oscar of his career for his dark boxing drama Million Dollar Baby.
And at the age of 74, Eastwood - the oldest ever winner of the director award - declared himself "just a kid" with plenty more to achieve in the movie industry.
Eastwood had also been nominated as best actor in Million Dollar Baby and returned to the stage to pick up the best picture award for the movie about women boxers.
"It was a wonderful adventure," Eastwood said as he collected the director's award. "To make a picture in 37 days it takes a well oiled machine."
Eastwood won his first director's Oscar in 1993 for Unforgiven and indicated that he still aimed to be winning prizes for some time to come.
"I am lucky to be here and lucky to be still working," he said.
Eastwood said he had watched as 80-year-old Sidney Lumet accepted an honorary award at the ceremony. "And I thought, I am just a kid, I have still got a lot to do."
