Stop being judgemental, you have never even spend a second with Mike Tyson and you come here and judge him. The society is getting sick of people like you. Please stop, i would go to mike's sessions anytime, beacuse i believe on a person he is..... - Thokozani |

Tyson in Africa 16/04/2008 13:32
Kolobe get real man, Tyson would find a veritable hive of willing customers in South Africa - Hello this is the continent where people believe that raping a child will cure aids and that sangomas will protect them from bullets - An idiotic low life like Tyson would do well in an idiotic country like ours - he really should set up shop right here. - Stryker |

I'm glad you believe on him as his sholders are big enough. I'm sure Mike is a realy nice guy and the Illuminati has it out for him, Robert and all the other innocent poor misunderstood people out there. Thanks for the laugh. - Sir Laugh-alot |

THOKOZANI 16/04/2008 13:38
I think Kolobe was trying to point out the fact that Mike Tyson has, in the past (and not so distant past) proven himself to be of a questionable nature. It would therefore stand to reason that a man of his doubtful calibre would be somewhat of an off-course scude missile in the position of a counselor. Agreed, Kolobe, agreed. - LaurenW |

tyson 16/04/2008 13:39
It seems to me that we, as people, like to apply double standards. We always say we must forgive and forget, but that seems to apply only to a certain section of the human race, unfortunately Tyson doesn't belong in that. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying Tyson is a saint, but I want to say everybody deserves to be pardoned. What if Tyson has changed? - maarwhy |

Mike for help 16/04/2008 13:42
people like mike tyson is the one who can counsel other people in a lot of ocasion.
if he wants to open a counseling school let him be,let me tell you this is not about education or being a good person. remember you can be counseled by a person in the street who douse not know that he/she is giving you a counseling.
to what he goes through in his life and what he want to do for the community is deference,
look around you there is a lot of people who was changed from bad to good, - Amos |

C'mom Thokozani, don't be so ignorant all your life. 16/04/2008 13:47

Everyone Can Change 16/04/2008 13:47
16 years ago Tupac once said "if u have to judge a man,Judge a man by his actions fully, from the beginning to the end.when the man is finally in his grave then u will be able to make a good judgement of his entire life".everybody labeled him a thug then 10 years later he is a fallen hero.Tyson might have done sum wrongs but he still have a chance 2 correct them so why judge him?they say send a criminal to catch a criminal so i wont mind having my son being councelled by him - Kaybee |

 |

Disagree with your appraisal of Mike or of the helping profession 16/04/2008 13:47
The assumption that your column advances, Kolobe, is that people in the helping profession (counsellors, nurses, and others) are highly messianic people whose lives have not been tainted by the socio-psychological vissicitudes or upheavals. Nothing could be further from the truth. In fact, there are very successful marriage counsellors who, themselves, have gone through a divorce, as there are drug addiction mentors who have gone through drug abuse.... - nzs |
|
 |
| |
Senseless 16/04/2008 13:49
Kolobe your commentary is senseless, don?t you know that people learn from their mistakes, people change my bother believe it or not and I think Mike does not want to see other people go through the same route that he went to. He?s got life experience when it comes to the matters that you have mentioned (things he did) and I would prefer to be counseled by some one who knows exactly what I am going through some one who has been there. Don?t be ridiculous we all can learn from Mike Tyson including you
- Lisa |
|
 |
| |
C'mon Kolobe. 16/04/2008 13:50
Kolobe,
You're assuming that people don't learn or grow from their mistakes. Mike has certainly been around the block more than a few times, won and lost a fortune and struggled with his relationships. Now assuming that he has looked back and gained from his experiences, I would say that it makes him more than qualified to share and help people not make the same mistakes. And regarding divorce... Hey women can be difficult too. Tina Turner was divorced and many women look to her for inspiration. - Nick |

Mike Tyson' past 16/04/2008 13:51
For Mike Tyson all what you have mentioned above is in the past. He is a changed man. He believes his experience can help other sport stars who find themseleves in the same position as he did in the past. He has already started. He helped come down Wayne Rooney of Manchester United and England and he is about to help Paul Gascoigne. He is also helping a lot of youngsters in USA and Europe. - Zweli |

quick question. 16/04/2008 13:57
Tyson won't go for counselling because he knows he is beyond redemption. But a quick question, don't psychologist also go for counselling?? go figure! - The prophet |

I'd suggest Stryker's moronic views get ignored 16/04/2008 13:59
Stryker's moronic views need to be ignored for his own good. If anyone Stryker knew personally (friend or family member) previously lived wayward life, would he not heed the advise of those suggesting that the individual concerned assumes position that'd instill in him a sense of responsibility for others - this being a way of enlightening others about the problem at hand, and also teaching the deviant person the basic principles of caring for others? I guess Stryker's ignorance'd tell him not... - nzs |

 |
| |
Kolobe - Here's a Suggestion 16/04/2008 13:59
You may be a good candidate for some counselling by Mike. Perhaps if he knocked you around enough it'll spare this forum the indignity of having to endure any more of your inane comments. - Sardonic |

Mike Tyson? A councellor? 16/04/2008 14:00
Quite ironic that a wife-beater, and clearly someone with anger management issues, would become a councellor. Almost as crazy as JZ running for President. - Sinudeity |

Agree! 16/04/2008 14:01
Very well put, Kolobe!
Interesting point: I find your articles very well written and obviously you put a lot of thaught into it. - Why are your comments generally so inflammatory? - Is it the same 'kolobe'? Just wondering.... - Juan |

Therapist 16/04/2008 14:03
Separate the word "therapist" into two, and what do you get? The rapist. In Mike Tyson's case, coincidence? I think not! But yes, he will do well here, in our wonderful country South Africa. - White Coconut |

I think Strker is a right plonker... 16/04/2008 14:10
Kolobe! wow, I am really glad you wrote about something other than SA! no chirp there bro, im just glad someone changed the toic and got away from all the issues we are dealing with...
on the same note: striker you are a right plonker - go raise your issues elsewhere or write your own article on your issues, dont hijack another mans work bro, its not cool.
Kolobe, I agree with you, no one in his right mind would ever ask iron mike to counsel them, unless they needed publicity - bad publicity.

Mike's been there.... 16/04/2008 14:13

Lol 16/04/2008 14:19
This one almost beats Michael Jackson wanting to be a business consultant after the astonishing feet of being $150 million in debt. I wrecked my balance sheet let me come do yours! Mike Tyson and MJ could go into business together. One could wreck a business and then the other could offer counseling to the dudes that lost everything. They could call themselves MnM. - Michael |
|
 |
| |
But then again.... 16/04/2008 14:20
....he may offer something that no other counsellor does - experience in some of the excesses that destroy lives. But, and I hate to admit my judgemental side here, I don't think you will find me rushing to use his services. - Dave Robbins |
|
 |
| |
Hey Thokozani.... 16/04/2008 14:22
...I don't have to spend a second with Mike Tyson. He was convicted of rape by a court of law and was sentenced to imprisonment. He bit the ear of Evander Holyfield on TV with millions of viewers as witnesses. In one post-fight interview he threatened to eat the children of his opponent, again in front of millions of TV viewers. And you believe on (sic) the person he is??????????? Well, that says a lot about you..... - cedb00 |
|
 |

Ag No!! 16/04/2008 14:25
This article I had to read twice! You must be joking right? Oh and by the way did he not beat his wife up? Ask Mike for help? No I dont think so! - carol |

Don't be idiots 16/04/2008 14:33
Who the hell is dumb enough to go and listen to Mike Tyson, what is he going to teach you? This ia a guy who rapes and abuses woman. Oh sorry there are people like that in this country i forgot about that maybe his fan club of rapists and abusers. Mike Tyson should be dropped down a deep hole with the other abusers an rapists. - Peter @Ct |

Set a thief 2 Catch a thief 16/04/2008 14:35
...doesn`t it sound familiar to all you arrogant and ignorant .He might be the Best Councillor of all since he was personally involved in those bad things. How are our present councillors doing it if they don`t even know the real feelings of a rapist, drug addict, etc.Don`t be the judges of this world,God is still in control. - Majozi |

Iron Mike 16/04/2008 14:36
He is a maniac, but it I think u got it wrong, he has never said that he wants to go into councelling, he offered to chat to Gascogine(ex footballer),because in his wisdom he percieved Gazza to be going through the same issues he went through..He is a nutter no doubt!!! - nWo |

The worst is you sitting there, with your eyes downcast and murmuring stuff like "Iron Mike...I have a drinking problem..." and the next thing u see your white shirt turning red and when you look up he's chewing away at part of your ear and blood is dripping from the sides of his mouth... - Godfather |
