The genes left behind 85000 years ago went marching off at a weird tangent and produced African style democracies (a-la Kenia and Zimbabwe)and very weird values.

In the rural village where I live, there is a white Afrikaner man who speaks our language fluently, he has been living with blacks ever since and his breeding is similar to blacks. He really doesn't associate with whites. That's what made me realise environment really plays a role in one's genetic make. One thing Israel and Jewish people are good at is NEVER forgetting. The holocaust happened nearly 70 years ago (6 million Jews and millions of other people were killed), and they NEVER let us forget, lest it happens again. Denying the holocaust is actually a crime is many countries. I admire Jews for ensuring their hurt is never repeated or forgotten. With due respect, there is no comparison between what Frank and Bullard wrote. Frank's letter is not accusotary and simply makes observations without implying that colonization benefitted some group. It is no secret that those with superior technology always win and it is true that Africans had less superior technology. The reason that whites became technologically superior has nothing to do with an innate superiority but more to do with geography, weather and condensed populations. Geography was against Africans & even if people with white-coloured skins had lived in Africa they wouldn't have advanced like they did in Europe. My father's uncle was murdered by a boer at Modder River during the Anglo Boer War or Tweede Vrheidsoorlog which ever way you look at it. He was a piper in a Scottish Regiment. That was predominantly white on white violence. It is gone, over. It is remembered as part of our history. I do not hate Boers because of it. The wars fought were much later caused by increase in the populace. europeans has severe winters and lousy weather and increasing populations and so they needed more food, more arms to kill each other and more medicine to deal with the quagmire of overpopulation. Yes, the Jews never forget. But the Afrikaans people in SA didn't keep on at the English for the 26000 women and children they murdered. They built a monument as a tribute, and then set to rebuilding the country after the scorched earth policy of kitchener and roberts. They did not sit down and whinge (even if we do quite well at it now! :)) Apartheid may not have been brilliant, but the previous regime did not keep on blaming past wrongs for (then) present problems. There is a large and growing group of influenced scientists who have quite simply stopped towing the line on the Darwin-evolution hypothosis. I'm not trying to prove Eveolution. It proved itself, and does so everyday. I don't believe in the Big Bang though, as I am god fearing Christian. I'm saying that in agreement to Franks article, all population of the world started at a common point. Some DNA experts believe it can be traced back to a little island off the East African coast. Factually a very good article but what we need to understand is that for as long as there is an economic divide between the two nations in our country we will never be able to see past our differences as it would be a constant reminder of our differences. Apartheid and colonialism have enrich the white man unfairly and this is a fact as apartheid laws have dispossessed my grandfather of his land and pushed him into poverty and he died heartbroken as he was not able to adequately provide for his family. - colin |

As for your suggestion that South Africans "actually do have a lot in common" ha ha ha ha, LOL man. Acxtually, a couple of people on this forum have demanded (not asked or begged) others to forget about apartheid. So, before one reads the rest of your contribution, one is confronted by a lie.

uhm.. yeah, i am a catholic, read bits of the bible, go to church.. from what i've been taught, most entries in the bible are what we call "metaphors" to explain topics easily to us cosmic intelligence-lacking folk. Even the pope acknowledges a few billion years of evolution. OK hold on, it's never been proven, there are no archaeologists and they have never found, wait for it... "fossils".
