  • Denver - Declaring "we are a better country than this", Barack Obama launched a sharp assault on Republican presidential rival John McCain on Thursday, promising to reverse the economic failures of the past eight years and restore America's reputation in the world.

Obama, the first black White House nominee of a major US party, linked McCain directly to President George W Bush and said their failed Republican policies were responsible for a faltering US economy and a decline in US global standing.

"We are here because we love this country too much to let the next four years look just like the last eight," Obama told a flag-waving crowd of about 75 000 supporters in Denver's open-air football stadium as he accepted the nomination on the last night of the Democratic convention.

"On November 4th, we must stand up and say: 'Eight is enough,'" Obama said.

What do you think of Barack Obama's acceptance speech? Do you think he will be voted US President? What do you think of his running mate?

      good speech
    29/08/2008 13:52
wish we had a black man in this country that everyone could relate to. Unfortunately Barrak is one in a million. When he becomes president he will become greater than nelson mandela thats for sure something tells me this guys will change the world and hopefully he will knock some sense into african politicians. - terence

      Re:Obama, Have your say
    29/08/2008 13:57
What an articulate guy. I wonder if America is ready for a black president.American democracy is over 200 years, but racism is still a problem. I also cried. I am proud of him. - Maru

For the first time in many years, I have the .....
    29/08/2008 13:57
sense that there is a truly honourable man running for election to the highest US office. I am not that naive that there won't be pressures on him to compromise if he is elected but there is something so honest and honourable about his deameanour. If only in South Africa!! - CB57

      Barack
    29/08/2008 13:59
If the democrats loose to the replublicans we should offer Barack the presidency of South Africa. We need clever guys like him running the show. - Christo

      Restore the Pride
    29/08/2008 14:00
Hopefully Obama (and the Democrats) manage to restore the USA to the esteemed moral, high ground America once occupied in the World opinion. Instead of the extremely distasteful image that has been formed under the Bush (mis)administration. - Mike

      Barack Obama
    29/08/2008 14:01
Wow....that's all I have to say. - Zin

      Matrix
    29/08/2008 14:02
He stole parts of his speech from Matrix Reloaded!! Go watch the movie where Lawrence Fishbone addresses the crowd in the cave....but nevertheless, I vote for him anyday!! Go Democrats!!!! - Point Blank

      Awesome!
    29/08/2008 14:04
this guy is amazing in his ability to inspire and make you believe! Damn i feel like an American! - omar

      Superb!
    29/08/2008 14:07
He is a natural speaker and truly gifted!Let's hope and pray that the Americans vote for him in November! - Mary

      PRO-DEMOCRACY & ANTI-SA POLITICS
    29/08/2008 14:07
I don't like Yanks in general - but one has to marvel at the democratic process as it unwinds and involves millions and millions or ordinary citizens as they elect their next principal representative. This is so unlike our own sorry situtation and excuse for democracy of "proportional representation party list system', where less than 3 000 so-called delegates get to decide who runs the country. SIES to SA - we need better and we can't leave politics of life to political parties anymore - PRO-DEMOCRACY

      Obama???
    29/08/2008 14:08
He might look good on paper and in prepared speeches but I saw a debate he had with McCain it he looked like he did not where he was. I wish him all the best, he got there on his own steam and if he does become the president good luck to him, just seems like the democrates are a bunch of idiots, first hillary and other tell how he is not able to lead the country now they there say he can, what has changed? He is still the guy he was a year, 3 months ago and he is today. - Martin

I'm sceptical about any US canidate
    29/08/2008 14:08
they are all waaaay to smooth. But he can talk and get people behind his cause, I have to give him that. Lets hope he sticks to his plans. - M

      Obama is ...
    29/08/2008 14:08
the candidate I prefer, but the US will elect a pale male once more. Perhaps Hillary in 2012? - jb

      Obama
    29/08/2008 14:09
Aint goingto happen...might be a politically correct world but obama does just notseem to have the right background for the job. he is inexperienced. Mccain's the man. - IceCreamMan

Reasonable, Maybe, Good - answers to questions posed.
    29/08/2008 14:09
Dont understand how Kenian becomes President of USA. Yes, born & grew up in the USA, but still Kenian ancestary. Regardles, looks to be fair & may even benefit RSA (hopefully). Concerned about so much emphasis on being black. Does this not also smack of racism? Already attempts on his life because of this? Maybe a bit pesimistic, but I really hope it works out to the benefit of all Americans. - Matrix

" he will become greater than nelson mandela"
    29/08/2008 14:09
terrence its some good Sh*t you are smoking mate, there is no one that can be great than that man. barck will make a great president but i feel that he is coconut but i do wish him and the people of the US all the best and i hope that he wins - qaqa

      Not holding my breath....
    29/08/2008 14:11
Why all the obsession with Obama. He brings with him all the discrmination of North vs South. They will still seek to plunder the planet whereva the resource presents itself. They will mistreat African countries in pursuit of capitalism. Obama is no saviour to anyone outside the audience he panders to. He will not treat us any better than any US president before him. Becos he is black means NOTHING to Africans hence I'm wondering why all this media hype. Obama or Mccain, why should we bother? - Cape Town Kid

      @Martin
    29/08/2008 14:13
Exactly! That's politics for you. I also don't think Obama is experienced enough to lead. Then again McCain probably only knows how to wage war. - M

      To Pro Democracy ...
    29/08/2008 14:14
Hmmm, sorry to have to correct you, but the USA doesn't have a direct electoral process either. The people vote, but the eventual president is decided by the Presidential College which is made up of state-elected representatives. SA's system isn't perfect, but with the low threshold needed to make it into parliament, at least minority views can be debated (that's why the PAC -- even with 1 parlamentarian) can still be heard... - J

      @ Maru
    29/08/2008 14:16
The fact that a black man is such a strong contender for the top spot in America shows they ARE ready for a black man and that in terms of racism, they are way further down the line than we are in this country...when do you think we'll be ready for a WHITE president!? Better yet, when will we be ready for the BEST president regardless of colour! - OB1

      Obama
    29/08/2008 14:17
As a black person, he makes me proud. I wish he succed and change the world's perception about a blacks. - Lo

Better yet, when will we be ready for the BEST president regardless of colour! I've had it with race politics that characterises SA politics, it deprives us of quality leaders like Obama, Zille, Ramaphosa etc. - OB1

      Glitter, glitz, no substance
    29/08/2008 14:22
Long on talk, short on substance: BIG talking Obama, finger-wagging Mr Know-All, Messiah complex! Looked more like a Roman emperor than a politician. Pathetic how he reduces his audience to tears (Americans love crying on TV!). Third-class showman, never worn his country's uniform (only a Muslim cloak), associates with racist preachers, drug lords and former terrorists. USA doen't need this coconut! Go back to Kenya and sell chickens! - Benzo Broodryk

I'm not holding my breath though
    29/08/2008 14:22
Obama is good for America in theory. But the average americans voted for goerge bush, twice. So I'm a bit skeptical that they are now going to vote for Obama who opposes all that bush stands for. If he were to win it would be a huge historic event. - Nada

      Yes he speaks well
    29/08/2008 14:24
but America will never vote a Black man or a woman (any race) into power. - Billy

      Moved to my core...
    29/08/2008 14:26
In my 30 odd years on this planet I have never been so moved to the point of tears by any man or woman in public office. This man is going to change the world and I am going to be on his band wagon. The black JFK? I hope not for his sake WOW... An inspiration to me and I am sure millions of peoplke around the world. - Supporter

      What a man
    29/08/2008 14:26
What a man! I truely believe Barrack will be an inspirational leader, great for America and great for the world... Lets hope he is successful so the world can be free on Amreican warmongers... - Tony

What is the social, cultural or political reality...of OBAMA?
    29/08/2008 14:32
Obama is an American.Americans cherish the ability to consume more than people elsewhere and many perceive this ability as priviledge. So could overconsumption in the North and not the overpopulation in the South be the environmental crisis argument. Will he tell the Americans not to have so many cars on the road. Will he tell them to stop consuming procsd foods neatly packaged in phony packages while the poor look on for a crumb. Their industrialism has eroded the ecological strata of society! - Cape Town Kid

      Inspirational
    29/08/2008 14:34
I believe Barrack Obama absolutely deserves to be in the White House. What an inspiration. His speech stood tall with likes of Kennedy and Martin Luther King. He is passionate and outspoken and seems to have a firm idea for where his country is and needs to be. If he were running for President in our country, I would be proud to cast my vote for Obama! x - Nina

      Route to the white house
    29/08/2008 14:35
is paved with compromise left and right and even though most presidents are all fired up and want to change things, they find they cannot and often end up not fulfilling their earlier promises. You get too watered down getting there to do much of anything. - AJ

maybe you need to keep quiet because all you are doing is trying to sound intelligent yet the stuff you say is not intelligent so stop now and save yourself from more embarassment ok.... - makondo

      Hell no
    29/08/2008 14:43
even if he becomes president of the US, he won't be running the country as the US for many decades has not be runned by the presidents its runned by Federal Reserve bank the like of Mr Morgan, Roothchild, Rockerfella, to be honest the world is F***ed not because of obama but freemasons - morena

      Barak Obama's Speech
    29/08/2008 14:46
Hi All Before I slept, I made an alarm to woke me up at 02.00 in the morning to watch a speech.I'm far from being an American. But when that guy speaks, people do keep quite and listen. He was peaking about facts about all the bad decisions the Republicans took for the previous 8 years. For once in 8 years if i was an American, I could be very proud of my nation because he is going to be the next president. I'm not saying this because I'm African, but being realistic. Barack for PRESIDENT. - Nekhavhambe Tshililo Elvis

      @Cape Town Kid.
    29/08/2008 14:47
For the first time ever, I find myself in agreement with you. The fact that Obama is black means nothing. He is still an idealistic american and thus will carry forth the gluttoness traditions of over consumption and ecological exploitation. Means nothing to Africans or Africa! - Ernst

Cape Town Kid - Here we go
    29/08/2008 14:47
Yes, yes. You hate the west. We know. We get reminded about it regularly. You complain so much about Obama. Why are you always so quiet on Zuma? Who is MUCH worse a leader than Obama ever will be. Obama has more morality/integrity in his little toe, than Zuma has in his whole body. - Sinudeity

      Legend
    29/08/2008 14:50
Barric will be the best thing that has ever happened to America, i honestly think he will make a big difference and people should accept him regardless of the colour of his skin, he would have my vote without a doubt.People should listen to what the man has to say, after hearing him out im sure there vote will be with him to. I hope americans make the correct decision and vote what i believe will be the greatest leader not just in America but in world history. - johannes

I don?t understand the racial fuss?
    29/08/2008 14:50
Barack Obama is biracial; 50% white and 50% black. He is well equipped to be the favourite candidate for the next American presidential race. - The Voice

      Shades of JFK....
    29/08/2008 14:51
and the hope he gave to the USA when he was elected. Perhaps he will give the USA and the world what it needs, youthful optimism. By the way, no Roman Catholic had ever been president before JFK, so.... - Dave Robbins

      More benefits, less taxes?
    29/08/2008 14:54
Does he think we are stupid? He actually went as far as saying he would pay every dime! Someone's got to pay! And inevitably it will be a greater burden on the people. He is not something new, except for his skin tone, he's just an old leftist liberal. People are so swept by their non-thinking emotions. There are so many better more qualified African Americans than Barak "inflate your tires" Obama. - Dissappointed

      @ cape town kid
    29/08/2008 14:59
So you're telling me that you don't envy the American lifestyle? I find that hard to believe... - Oom_Kosie

      dissapointed
    29/08/2008 15:02
would you please name the better candidates for us here. I dont know what is up with africans i get the feeling that because many white people can accept this colourd guy as their president local black south africans feel threatened by this. I am a black man and i think this guy is great certainly 5 levels above zuma and mbeki. Perhaps black africans feel he is not black enough???? although as a black man i dont feel that. - makondo

      false hope
    29/08/2008 15:08
There is a groundswell in Africa as a whole, of people who support him.People whoo have this notion that becos he is black, he will be the savioour of Africa. He has a massive job to tackle in USA as it is.Africa wont be a priority. Also he has to be kept safe so that the target on his back doesnt retire him prematurely. There is an element in the US that will be gunning(no pun intended)for him.So he is gonna be pretty preoccupied - Sean

"Obama is good for America in theory."
    29/08/2008 15:08
And what theory is that? - Craig

      Obama = hot air?
    29/08/2008 15:08
Personally I support a politician that can deliver. If they are in addition a smooth talker then kudos for them. Since Obama took office of Illinios in Nov 2004 the unemployment rate increased from 6.1% to 6.8%. Over the same period McCain's state remained more or less constant (4.6 to 4.8%). If Obama could not better opportunities in his own state, how is he going to do it for the entire country? Smooth talking and empty promises do not feed people. - Pedro

      @makondo
    29/08/2008 15:13
AMEN DUDE! You made my weekend more joyfull! Speaking of weekend... have a good one everybody! - Francois

      Obama is an American?
    29/08/2008 15:16
Yes Cape Town Kid, this is very true, extremely wise words on you behalf. As for the rest of your rant, WTF, please refer to Morena's comment. Obama is going to be one of the greatest president the US have had, watch this space. The US is in a time of desperate need from it's leaders and Obama will produce the goods. - John Camp

      makondo - I agree!
    29/08/2008 15:18
Especially if you look at McCain. He's a warmongerer. And he uses his POW excuse as much as Gulliani used 9/11 catchphrase in the primaries. Im just glad Hillary isn't the dem nominee. Remember how many Hillary articles news24 published and almost NO Obama articles? - Sinudeity

Obama spoke from the heart, something I didn't
    29/08/2008 15:18
think possible with politicians, and I believe that he will make positive change in the way the world views America, but I am also afraid for his safety cause history proves that in teh USA good presidents or politicians get killed, I pray to God that Michelle would neverhave to suffer what Martin Luther King Jnr's wife went through, God please bless Obama and help him realise we all aspire to, - Vicky

Barack Obama. And, the Cape Town Kid and Ernst.
    29/08/2008 15:18
I am immensely impressed with Obama. Regardless of what the Republican press in the US (and old man McCain) says, he appears to be a man of integrity, vision, and inspiration. I admire him. Cape Town Kid, Ernst: it is impossible to change the past, but we can change this future. I think Obama will change the future for the better, including how Africa is treated by the first world. Do not underestimate the people in the States, and beware of generalisation. - Jan

      Imagine
    29/08/2008 15:18
Note the democracic youth league (?) is not threatening to "eliminate" anyone or "lay down their lives" for Obama. Here we have a system that favours economic & social progress. AFRICA TAKE CAREFUL NOTE - if only

      Obama
    29/08/2008 15:19
I stood up 4am to watch. WOW... its was amazing. I believe America is no longer the greatest nation or greatest democracy on Earth. They squandered that label the last 30 years. I believe Obama will restore there status. South Africa needs some who can cross the colour, religious and class devide like him. Go Barack - Shroomy

      FLY.......
    29/08/2008 15:21
I am not even an American but I felt uplifted and refreshed by his speech - like I am ready to take on the world. I can only imagine how Americans who share the same vision as him feel. He is so vibrant just like his country, and hey I am not even a big fan of America. But one has to admire the vibrancy and passion that characterises that nation. - KLZ

Christo I absolutely agree with you, Obama will be
    29/08/2008 15:22
a benefit not just for the US but the world at large, hopefully the Zuma can be inspired to be humane and most important learn what/how a leader should talk to his/her followers. - Vicky

      J
    29/08/2008 15:22
Was it really necessary to mention the PAC. I still love the party but you just messed up my weekend. I expected that from the proteas and the boks not on a debate about Obama. - Pokkies

      Correction
    29/08/2008 15:22
I was referring to Makondo and not Morena. - John Camp

      Pedro - I hear you
    29/08/2008 15:24
We have enough hot air politicians in SA. But, I think the important thing here is, that the people need a change from the neo-cons who have been running the US for the past 8 years. The types of people who put big businesses in front of the people *cough*dickcheney*cough* - Sinudeity

      Come on
    29/08/2008 15:28
McCain is old school lets be serious - Jabu

      delivery
    29/08/2008 15:28
Seems my take on democracy needs some help. Is the point no tto vote for the best party? If the voters are not happy with the republicans, they chould vote for the democtrats. The Conservatives lost power in the UK because they were not delivering. Labour is now in the same boat. A party gets a chance to do the job, and if they are not doing it they get replaced. Republicans hava had a bad few years so someone else with new ideas get a go. New ideas, new plans. Get it wrong and get voted out!!!!! - johnnoh

      Barack Obama is a chameleon..
    29/08/2008 15:28
he changes his message depending on his audience. Definitely not to be trusted. Also, he cannot manage a speech without teleprompting. On his own, he speakss incoherently. - Margaret

      @Dissapointed
    29/08/2008 15:29
I must admit when I listened to his tax policy stance, I thought - not very realistic!!. I would know because I work in a tax environment but damn man you must admit this: Obama inspires and uplifts whenever he takes a stand - he is something new and refreshing (South Africa can definitely benefit from having a leader with a half of Obama's passion and drive). - KLZ

      Barack Obama
    29/08/2008 15:30
After so many generations, like Abraham, our Creator has a definate plan in place. Who are we to judge on colour? Under the skin we are all potential leaders. To be mixed and smart like him - there is still hope to change the world for the better...Wow...Wow. I vote for him to win. - Fritz Zender

Well said Craig, like Aunt Hellen Zille.
    29/08/2008 15:32
Very good in theory but nothing is gonna change, lets see if he will find weapons america has been looking for in Iraq. Viva Cape Town Kid you made my day. - Philani

He does not have his fingers in the oil barrel
    29/08/2008 15:33
On a personal level as far as I know. (Unlike the Bushes who are head deep in personal oil investments.) So yes, just maybe he can make a difference - if he lives long enough. The US has a tendency to "dispose" of unwanted liberal presidents very early in their term. They do not like their president to be overly intelligent! - TB

      Its a side show
    29/08/2008 15:36
Obama or McCain does not matter they all will base there policies on American corporate interests. The rest is a side show to entertain the masses with pretty feel good words. - Slanesh

      Unrealistic expectations
    29/08/2008 15:40
Presidential candidates will promise everything to get elected but once they get to Washington, their ability to affect change in the massive US governmental bureaucracy is limited. Obama is just a typical tax/spend liberal and apart from being black, he is no different to many previous democratic presidential candidates. So much for all his "change" promises. Americans will realise he is all hot air and I expect McCain to win easily in November. - Longbow

Can't use racism as an excuse
    29/08/2008 15:41
If he does become president, something I sincerely hope happens, perhaps African Americans will stop using racism as an excuse for everything. Yes racism exists but if a Black man becomes president of the USA the Black man is capable of anything. - Al

      Oom Kosie..only between u & me.r u a crackpot realist?
    29/08/2008 15:44
We may all be riding on spaceship,Earth. Some of us ride firstclass and some in steerage.Hence crackpot realism is a realism gone mad and crackpot realists are those who in the name of the consumerist ideal have projected an utopian image of capitalism! - Cape Town Kid

      "Yes we can!"
    29/08/2008 15:50
He is simply the right man for highest office. He has all it takes to head the whitehouse. I also say Obama for presidency! By the way the poor republican candidate is in his seventies and his party still fieds him for the position, I think the Republican and the Zim's ZANU PF share something in common! - Eric Ndou Mawelewele

Who America elects as president matters, they are the super power that influences the world. I know there are up and coming economies but for the next 20 years at least the US matters. We are all part of the global village, (if the DOW crumbles so will the JSE) so who they elect to lead them matters. Obama looks like the man that can influence the world in a positive way. - LM 01

      OBAMA RULES...
    29/08/2008 15:53
Watching the tears of some of the black female delegates saying they'd rather vote for McCain because of the hostility towards Clinton during the run-ups, it does ring true : THE ONLY OBSTACLE TO SUCCESS FOR A BLACK MAN, IS ANOTHER BLACK MAN!! I can never understand why we as black people always have to be jealous about the success of our brothers!! - ex-ANC supporter

      Forget Race!!
    29/08/2008 15:53
Why does everyone keep on hammering about how black (or not) Barack is. There is more to this man than the color of his skin. He has a presence no one can deny. He speaks of change, better times, family, morals. I think he will be a great President and will change America for the Good!! - Christel Snodgrass

      Obama too Liberal for America
    29/08/2008 15:55
South Africans we know nothing about Obama aka "The One". He is too loiberal for America and is pro-abortion, pro same-sex-marriage which Americans have a problem with. - Joe Jackson

      Every thing has it's time
    29/08/2008 16:02
Give credit where its due the speech was well crafted and skillfully delivered. Americans have found the right president in Obama, the time has come for change. If Obama was white I don't know if McCain could have had any support by this time, the man is brilliant and God has given him an oratory talent. Delivery of promises come when you are in the office not out, so the momemt of truth is here to see if americans can walk there talk of embracing all creed, colour and different social background - Agumba

No doubt Obama is more clever then McCain but why they are neck and neck on the polls? Is this got to do with Race? I suspect.
    29/08/2008 16:05
Oh yes I did the guy is marvel I can tell you that. But the matter of fact is this, America is a racist country. Barack Obam won't win because the majority of voters are white and the white American will vote for John McCain because he is their Race finish and klaar. Whether u read this as another racist comment or whatsoever but Barack will loose bcos he is not the right race. - Oscar

Please define coconut. Could it be a black person who cares about the country? Could it be a black person who wants the best for everyone of any race? Maybe it?s a black person who sympathises with all races? If any of these are a definition that would mean Mandela too is a coconut. People like you who call your own kind coconuts because they aren't black supremacists are one reason why this country is going nowhere. By the way Obama is welcome to lead this corrupt government any day or is he too much of a coconut for you? - JohnS

      All talk no substance
    29/08/2008 16:07
Articulate? natural speaker? Have you heard him talk when he doesn't have a tele-prompter? He is smooth and charismatic, that is all. Pretty much any dem candidate would be lauded as the next messiah after the mess the Bush administration has been. Hope/Change blah blah blah, no substance. He has these ideas that sound great, but no details on how they will be implemented. Get over your hatred for Bush and you will soon see how little he offers as a candidate. - Saffer

ex anc supporter, its not about RACE (as in black vs White)
    29/08/2008 16:09
on the obama vs clinton issue, its about gender, if anything ppl of the world are proud that America can produce a leader of such a calibre as Obama, he is well spoken and the speech comes natural leads me to believe he was involved in the writing/producing of it. Africa please take note and learn opportunities like this don't come that often, esp for those who resort to violence when their candidate loses or in JZ's case has criminal judgements against him. We can swing things around if TRY! - Vicky

"Glitter, glitz, no substance. Long on talk, short on substance: BIG talking Obama, finger-wagging Mr Know-All, Messiah complex! Looked more like a Roman emperor than a politician.". Oprah type hysterical adolescent-go-crazy for rock-star (supposedly adult) fans. Shocking that people like that are allowed to vote. And when it comes to abortion - Obama wins the gold. agree with you Benzo. - tony

Well in SA, chinese are seen as black as well. And the government said that. I think he would be a better president that Mccain. Who contradicted everything now that he said about the war on Iraq... maybe he's just a liar? - player01

Your comment would have been just fine without "After so many generations, like Abraham, our Creator has a definate plan in place." Really this forum has nothing to do with religion so please do us all a favour and keep thy religion to thy self! We don?t care and don?t want to hear it. It?s people like you that cause normal topics to be turned into a god bash fest. When that happens, you are the first to cry. Say what you need to say but for logics sake keep god and religion out of it. - JohnS

      There will be a change.
    29/08/2008 16:19
McCain is a Republican, but he's on the left wing of that party and is regarded either as a renegade or his own man, depending on one's biases. He will certainly not be another Dubya. I am surprised at Obama going for this "tar all with the same brush" approach as he's generally acted in a principled way. But I guess it's time for the gloves to come off. The fight is going to get dirty and then it will get dirtier. - Big Bad Bob

      Obonga!
    29/08/2008 16:21
I cannot understand why the liberal press (both here and overseas) is carrying on as if Obama is the "Messiah"! WTF? He has absolutely no experience or credibility. The only thing going for him is that he's black and a good orator. Mark my words: John McCain will be the next president of the USA! Finish en klaar! - He Who Knows

"even indians are blacks." - I'd love to know where you got that piece of information. In America, Indians are called Native Americans, and let's not forget about the Mexican people. It's certainly not "either white or black". - Richard

Great speech and overall presentation. Hope those idiots at Polokwane were watching - maybe they will learn something about how to conduct oneself. Probably not. Paul - paul

      oscar- time to grow up
    29/08/2008 16:43
Your comments smack of ignorance. Of course there are people who wont vote for him because he is black. Just like there are black people who wont vote for Helen Zille because she is white. That doesnt make the USA a racist country. The black population in the states is very small- the fact that Obama has got as far as he has is testament to the fact that white people are willing to vote for him. Its pretty much a straight shoot between liberals and conservatives- always has been in that country and the results are always close. Why should now be any different because of one of the candidates skin colour. Maybe educate yourself on the political dynamic at play before you make childish remarks. - pat bateman
