SA rowers take bronze
Athens - Drew Ginn and James Tomkins of Australia on Saturday won the coxless pairs rowing gold medal at the Athens Olympics.
The reigning world champions Ginn and Tomkins cruised to victory in 6 minutes 30.76 seconds. Both also have a fours gold medal from 1996 and Tomkins a fours gold from 1992 as well.
Sinisa and Niksa Skelin of Croatia took silver while Donovan Cech and Ramon Clemente, who only reached the final after the Canadian team was disqualified, got bronze for South Africa. -Sapa-DPA
