Nicol shines in SA win
Athans - Greg Nicol scored a hat-trick on Wednesday to lead South Africa to a 5-1 win over African rival Egypt in the classification stage of the men's Olympic Hockey tournament.
South Africa will now play for ninth spot against Britain, who beat Argentina 4-1. Egypt play Argentina for 11th spot.
Emile Smith and Craig Fulton scored South Africa's other goals. Adnan Ahmed scored for Egypt.
In semi-finals later on Wednesday, Australia play Spain and the Netherlands face Germany to decide who will contest the gold medal.
In other classification matches, New Zealand play Korea and Pakistan meet India.
