London - South African billionaire Mark Shuttleworth is the wealthiest man under 30 living in Britain.

The Mail on Sunday published a list of the 300 richest people in Britain and the 29-year-old former Capetonian, who made his millions in computers, was listed the 193rd wealthiest person in Britain with his estimated fortune of £165m (R2.1bn), but he is by far the wealthiest under 30.

Shuttleworth, who spent a cool £14m (about R175m) last year for the pleasure of taking part in a Russian space flight, earned £400m (about R5.08bn) a few years ago when he sold his internet software company.

At the time, he was still a student at the University of Cape Town.

The Mail on Sunday reports Shuttleworth had donated a fortune to charity.

British pop singer Robbie Williams, 29, was listed second with £58m (about R726m).

The man topping the list, is not British. He is 76-year-old Swedish milk-carton magnate Dr Hans Rausing, who has been living in Britain for the past 20 years with a fortune of £6.3bn (about R81.9bn).

Queen Elizabeth (£976m) appears in 20th position, and is Britain's 5th wealthiest woman.

The richest is Charlene de Carvalho, owner of Heineken Breweries, with £2.4bn.
