19/05/2003 15:38 - (SA)
Durban - Two men accused of murdering Nellie Shabalala, the wife of Ladysmith Black Mambazo leader Joseph Shabalala, appeared in Durban High Court on Monday, SABC radio reported.
The couple's son, Nkosinathi Shabalala, is to stand trial with Mboneni Mdunge, but their case was adjourned for a short while on Monday morning to give Shabalala's new attorney time to study the papers before court.
Nellie, 52, was shot dead on May 15 2002, at her Clermont home near Pinetown.
Her 63-year-old husband was shot and wounded in his right arm when he tried to intervene.
Two weeks after the attack, the Shabalala's son was arrested in connection with the attack.
