'Playing' woman shoots man

Kimberley - A 30-year-old woman was arrested for attempted murder in Newtown after accidentally shooting a man in a tavern, Northern Cape on Friday, police reported on Sunday.
Captain Cherelle Ehlers said the woman was at the tavern about 19:00 when she allegedly seized a gun that had been misplaced.
She allegedly started playing with a pistol unaware that it was loaded. A shot went off, wounding Freddie Molusi, 28, in the left shoulder.
Ehlers said the gun belonged to a person who had visited the tavern. She said the man might have handed the gun in at the checkpoint and forgot to collect it when he left the tavern.
