Boksburg robbers flee with loot

Johannesburg - A group of armed men attacked a security vehicle near Boksburg on Monday, police reported.
Superintendent Eugene Opperman said a Mercedes rammed a security guard vehicle on the M41 near Boksburg and men fired shots at the vehicle.
One security guard was shot in the foot and the perpetrators escaped in a BMW and a bakkie with an undisclosed amount of cash, Opperman said.
Police recovered the Mercedes and also found the two getaway vehicles about half a kilometre from the scene of the crime.
They were still searching for the robbers and the injured security guard was taken to hospital, said Opperman.
